A Brief History

Oxbridge Carpets was established in 1989 by Frank Harwood and Richard Oakes. We have had a number of shops in Hertfordshire and have become well-known in Hertfordshire and the South East. In 2006 we moved to a larger unit in Northbridge Road, Berkhamsted which has allowed us to combine our Retail Showroom and Contract Division onto the same site. The 2000 SQFT retail showroom allows us to display literally hundred of samples of flooring. Carpets range from the popular beige twists, bold patterns as well as limited edition and bespoke flooring options. Oxbridge have a wide Client list including film stars, footballers, designers, architects, landlords, schools, clubs, developers, house builders and of course homeowners. Over the years, fashions in flooring have evolved and wood flooring and vinyls have become an important part of their business. However Frank and Richard are still single-minded in their approach to give customers excellent service with excellent value.

Local Knowledge

We supply and fit carpets, vinyl, Amtico, Karndean, Wood and Laminate floors to customers in the A41 corridor including Berkhamsted, Tring, Aylesbury, Hemel Hempstead and the surrounding villages, Over the years we have built a great reputation for our customer service and keen pricing. Many of our new customers are via recommendation and word of mouth. Our showroom in Berkhamsted is open Monday – Saturday and we are always pleased to welcome customers old and new.
