Which Style?

We understand that selecting a type of carpet can be bewildering. There are so many different styles to choose from.

Here’s our guide to the different carpet types. If you need help choosing the right carpet for your room, please contact our experts.

The most popular is an 80% Wool Twist. It is the most practical style of carpet and Twists do not shade and have great light refraction qualities.

Loop piles are also very popular. You can choose from big loops, small loops, round loops, square loops and loops on loops. Generally looped carpets are available in natural and Berber colourways The smaller looped carpets are harder wearing and larger loops are more luxurious.

This is perfect for urban living. Velvet is sometimes called Velour. It is of a close construction with a short pile and smooth top, and available  in Tufted and Wilton and in wool or synthetic fibres.

Today shag piles are designed for luxury and decorative use. In the main they come in heavy weights, and  would look great in your penthouse.
